Focus on initiatives
PHOTOVOLTAIC PANELS
In 2023, all our sites in China have installed solar panels on their roofs, 30,000 m² for a total capacity of 7,000 KWh. The renewable electricity produced helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This project limits the consumption of electricity from the public network and frees the company from the local energy mix, which is mainly fueled by coal. These installations cover 14% of our needs and reduce our Scope 2 indirect emissions by 4K tCO2e.
SAFETY FIRST PROGRAM
“Safety First” is the initiative launched by the Group in 2015 to guarantee workplace safety for all employees and service providers on our sites.
We are deploying an incentive-based safety culture, since all our employees have a role to play in promoting risk prevention and anticipation. The main actions are:
- Involving our employees in risk identification
- Training teams in the 10 golden rules of safety
- Exchange best practices at an annual safety day
- Leading “risk prevention” working groups during an annual safety week
- Rewarding the best risk prevention proposals.
MONO-MATERIAL DESIGN
To promote the recyclability of our products, we have developed a range of single-material solutions for all Beauty segments. For example, we offer a range of lipsticks in 100 % PET, PP or aluminum (including the mechanism).
Within our PURE METAL collection, we offer a complete range in full aluminum: lipsticks, compacts and caps.
